The game is about the state of the Italian television media and the messages it conveys, often erroneously, to the general public. Broadcasts, such as talk shows or infotainment programs, constantly resort to animated fights, brawls or paradoxical situations in which the content is distorted or even ends up in the background. People watching this type of broadcasts can be generally influenced and shaped by contents of dubious value, not having enough cultural tools to be able to filter the information received.
The players have the role of the TV host of Punto in Bianco, an italian talk show in crisis that they must try to relaunch in the last three episodes of the season. To do this, they need to prepare the episodes of the show, selecting the guests who are to be invited. During the live broadcast, the player will be called upon to follow the setlist of questions and to call in the guests most appropriate to the various segments, aiming to stimulate trashy quarrels or heated debates which can catalyze as much attention as possible from the audience at home. Any choice can be more or less positive and affects the total ratings of the television share factor. Once the television program comes to an end, the reaction with some comments from a typical Italian family is shown and a graph with the episode’s audience data. The more effectively the episode has been mediated, the greater the visible effects on this family and their home environment are.
