FAMILY QUESTIONS:
Night One
Are you or have you ever been scared of the Book of Revelation? Why or why not? (Fact: It was written to bring Christians hope during a difficult time of persecution).
Read Revelation 1:1-3. Why did God give John this prophetic vision? What’s the promise if we read it?
Night Two
Read Revelation 1:4-6. Who is this letter written too? Why is that so important? (Fact: America is not in the book of Revelation).
How is God described? How are Christians described? Do you see the trinity? (Hint:
seven sprits is the Holy Spirit).
Night Three
Read Revelation 1:7-8. Also look at Daniel 7:13 and Zechariah 12:10. Where do you see
connections/similarities?
What does John’s use of the Old Testament tell us about how he is writing this? (Fact: there are 404 verses in Revelation and over 500 Old Testament references).
Night Four
Read Revelation 1:9-11. How does John relate to those he is writing too? (See Fact Night One).
Can you imagine seeing loved ones killed for their faith? God gave us Revelation to show us that while it may seem like Christians are
losing the battle, God and His people have won the war).
Night Five
Read Revelation 1:12-20. How is Jesus
described? (Read Daniel 10 for a cool OT
connection).
Verse 18 will come up again and again in different imagery throughout the letter, how did Jesus conquer death? What does this say about achieving victory in God’s kingdom?
