Poem – Monologue

Resolve regretful stains.
Resolve residues of hate.
Pour it all down in the drain.
Lost without the pain.
It wants to escape, but it belongs to you, as you belong to it, the same.

What would I do without you?
Nowhere to go.
No usual route.
Find me walking your shadow, around purposeless back streets.

Where am I supposed to go?
Where am I supposed to be?

While I’m out and about…part of me…stays inside, like I’ve been gone but still stayed behind. Some sort of afterlife crisis.

What did I miss?
Denying what really is.

If anything is, really?
I can’t think clearly.
Can’t anybody hear me?
Anybody out there?
Am I here really?
I must exist in theory?
It must be real, to be so dreary.

Oh, dear.
What could the matter be?
I see agenda, I see strategy, I see…the big picture. you don’t wash with me, you can take your mutton economy and shove it right up your unconscious majority.
I am not amused, so screw you and whose army? who wants to laugh at me?

Bye, bye, bye-gone society.
I own this place.
This was me.
With my stomping ground, I am bound intrinsically.

The cold light of days streaming. revealing insects and human beings, the same thing.

Breathe in. breathe out. Inhale, sweet details. Exhale mushroom clouds with silver linings.
