Year 6 Induction uniform information for students
The school uniform policy is designed to allow our pupils to positively represent their school and to help pupils feel they are an integral part of the school community. Health and safety issues are carefully considered and uniform chosen to be as appropriate as possible.
The Uniform comprises of:
Pleated, navy skirt, no more than 5 cm above the knee. We do have some year 7 girls who have already outgrown their skirt and have had letters informing parents that their skirt needs to be replaced. It is perhaps therefore worth buying a skirt with room for growth! OR alternatively Navy, school approved trousers with the school badge on the left side pocket. Trousers are to be ankle length and without a rolled up hem
White, cotton, open-necked blouse. Blouse must not show below the bottom of the pullover.
A school regulation V neck jumper. Pullover cuffs must not be frayed / pulled or visible below the blazer sleeves.
Plain black opaque tights. Or plain white or navy socks, knee or ankle length.
Black shoes with low, sensible heels. Must be formal shoe style that support feet; so no boots, trainers, canvas pumps or sandals etc.
Plain navy blazer with school badge.
A pupil for religious and/or cultural requirements may also wear a plain, navy blue headscarf, without any fringing with the school badge worn to the side.
In cold weather they may also choose to wear…
Plain navy or black coat
Scarf in plain, dark navy or black or the official school scarf.
Hooded tops or sweat shirts of any type must not be worn to or from school or on the school site.
The only jewellery that may be worn is a watch; a medical bracelet; small, plain studs (one in each ear-lobe) – no other body piercing jewellery;
Hair should be of a uniform, natural shade and not streaked, dyed or coloured in any way.
Hair accessories should be plain blue or black.
